I am over 18We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in creating delicious, well-presented dishes that showcase our commitment to quality. You will work closely with Head Chef to prepare a variety of menu items, ensure food safety standards are met, and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, from breakfast items to lunch specials and baked goods.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness.
Ensure all food preparation is in line with health and safety regulations.
Assist in menu development and contribute creative ideas for seasonal or special menu items.
Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies when necessary.
Keep the kitchen organized, clean, and efficient.
Work with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
Handle customer dietary requirements and allergies with care.
Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.
Proven experience as a sous chef or chef de partie in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
A passion for food, creativity, and a keen eye for detail.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and time-management skills.
Experience with menu planning and inventory management is a plus.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
