JOB DESCRIPTION

Botswana Butchery and Harbourside Ocean Bar Grill, both situated in the iconic Ferry Building in Auckland CBD are searching for some new talent!
 
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the ever-growing Good Group Hospitality growing from strength to strength.
 
We are looking for highly motivated Chef de Parties to join our hungry kitchen teams. We encourage our staff to reach their full potential in a friendly & caring environment.
 
We are looking for super stars who want to showcase their skills, have a passion for meat, seafood, a can do attitude and who thrives on pressure creating the best seafood dining experience in Auckland…if this sounds like you, we want to hear from you!
 
Ideally, you’ll have proven experience in high volume restaurants, have a strong understanding of kitchen practices, culinary techniques and have a passion for staying up to date with global trends.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have:

  • The ability to work calmly when under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience desirable, however not essential for the right candidate with a can-do attitude as full training will be provided

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the specialty section
  • Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
  • Preparing meat and fish
  • Assisting with the management of health and safety
  • Knowledge and ability to run a section
  • Ability to work without close supervision
  • Ability to produce good quality food in all sections Good oral communication
  • Team management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Good level of numeracy
  • Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus those around you
  • Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
  • Positive and approachable manner
  • Team player qualities
