JOB DESCRIPTION

Stamford Plaza Melbourne is a five star hotel located at the 'Paris end' of Little Collins Street in the heart of the shopping & theatre district. We are now seeking a Reservations Manager to join our team.

About the role

Stamford Plaza Melbourne is now seeking a Reservations Manager on a Full Time basis. In this role you will serve as the first line of inquiry for room reservations within the hotel. The Reservations Manager will be supporting the Revenue department in driving Hotel room revenue to deliver RevPAR performance against budget growth target, provide thorough analysis of market and local intelligence ensure the Hotel can pursue and aggressive revenue growth strategy in line with budget expectations and optimize revenue opportunities through the implementation of yield management practices and strategies

To be successful in this position you must have superior selling skills, an exceptional telephone technique with exceptional communication skills and People management experience is important as you will also be responsible for managing a small team. Knowledge in using OPERA/OPERA Cloud is also advantageous.

REQUIREMENTS

What are we looking for?

  • Tertiary Education in business/ hotel management
  • Relevant experience in similar capacity
  • Knowledge of Property Management System such as Opera Cloud
  • Yield Management Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • At least 2 years experience in leading a team
