About the role:

Hanmer Springs Hotel, situated in the iconic location of the Canterbury region is having an opportunity available for enthusiastic, professional and passionate Resort Attendant to join our busy and hardworking teams. 

As Resort Attendant, you will be an all-rounder assisting in the Housekeeping and Food and Beverage Services, including a la carte dining and banquet functions. Even if you have limited experience in hospitality, as long as you are a great team player with good work ethics and a willingness to learn, we believe you will be our next guest services Superstar!!

 

Key duties include:

  • Maintaining procedures to ensure a high standard of customer service and customer satisfaction
  • Perform all necessary food and beverages as well as housekeeping activities to ensure guest rooms are serviced
  • Assist in conference set up and services
  • Ensure guest comfort at all times
  • Respond to guest requests politely and efficiently
  • Assist the hotel in monitoring stocks and maintaining productivity
  • Working in a safe and efficient manner at all times
  • Contribute to making the Hotel a great place to work

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

All-rounder
Cleaner / Housekeeper
Food & Beverage Attendant
Function/Banquet server
Front Office
Waitstaff

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in hospitality is a plus 
  • Flexibility to work on a full-time rotating shifts, including afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction
  • Physically fit to the role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High standards of presentation both for yourself and your work
  • Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Pride in your work
  • Current eligibility to work in New Zealand
