MOI Agencies Limited is a leading New Zealand Marketer and Distributor of a diverse range of brands including Monin, Tabasco, Fisherman’s Friend, Majans, Robert Timms and Sun Harvest.  We specialise in providing brand representation from strategic guidance to sales and marketing management, from logistics and distribution to full financial service. 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a MONIN Beverage Innovation Manager to join our marketing team. This is a unique role, blending your skills in mixology with a commercial desire to grow a global brand. Through advocacy and activation, you will inspire others to use MONIN by showcasing the delicious creations that can be made. 

The MONIN brand is a French family owned brand of premium quality syrups, purees and sauces with over 100 flavours used by Food and Beverage professionals New Zealand wide in everything from cocktails, sodas, milkshakes to iced tea and coffee. We are seeking a passionate professional to be the voice of MONIN’s passion, creativity and expertise for cocktails and coffee making craft to the bartender and barista communities. 

Reporting to the Head of Brands, broadly the key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Develop strategy and delivering programs for building brand advocacy, including inspiring education and recipes and activations with internal and external customers within the hospitality trade.
  • Seek opportunities to increase and maximise brand visibility and build key partnerships in on premise, off premise, coffee and MSO channel.
  • Create and run key activation events (e.g. MONIN Cup) and ensuring events reflect positively on the brand including high industry engagement and participation.  
  • Finding MONIN solutions for key customers and working closely with the Brand, Sales and National Key Account team and support with beverage innovation expertise.

REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for a passionate and creative food and beverage expert who possesses the following:

  • Passion for food and beverage trends and the hospitality industry – particularly working with bars and cafes
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and network externally. 
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills plus the ability to flex your style to reflect key customer needs.
  • Sound commercial acumen 
  • Well organized and ability to meet deadlines through strong project management discipline.
  • Solid application skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Some flexibility regarding working hours and be willing to travel (circa 40% travelling due to national role)
     

Ideally you have a background in:

  • As a mixologist, bartender or brand ambassador and/or a beverage operations manager in Food and Beverage, liquor or specialty café and be looking to move your career to new level in the brand world.
  • Experience in networking, managing brand activations and running events in the liquor space – with both creativity and strong project management skills
  • Experience in cultivating influencers and advocates through social media and through relationships and proven ability to grow their own network and contacts in key channels
