About Us: Lone Star Petone is a well-loved, iconic part of the Lone Star brand, serving up a delicious mix of classic Kiwi favorites and bold, mouthwatering dishes. As we continue to grow and maintain our reputation for excellence, we are looking for a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team.

Location: Lone Star Petone

Position: Head Chef

Job Type: Full-Time, with minimum of 30 hours per week Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience  Key Responsibilities: • Manage and motivate a dedicated team of chefs and kitchen staff to deliver outstanding dishes, ensuring all food is cooked to the highest standards. • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food preparation, cooking, and presentation meet the Lone Star brand standards. • Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients to minimize waste and reduce costs. • Ensure the kitchen adheres to food safety regulations, cleanliness, and hygiene standards at all times. • Control food costs, labor costs, and contribute to maintaining a profitable operation. • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the kitchen staff to ensure their professional growth and high performance.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

What We're Looking For: • Experience as a Head Chef or Level 4 qualification in cookery. • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Passion for creating exceptional food and ensuring a top-notch dining experience. • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills. • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and productive kitchen environment. • A commitment to food safety and hygiene standards. • A relevant culinary qualification (preferred). • Experience with Safe Food Pro an advantage.
