JOB DESCRIPTION

DANTES PIZZERIA -Authentic Neapolitan Pizzeria We have an exciting opportunity for a Pizza Chef to join our team! This is an important role in our Pizzeria and you will be joining a world wide leading team ensuring quality taste, and presentation.

Dante's Pizzeria Napoletana is 'the home of delicious, authentic Pizza Napoletana in Auckland', Awarded One of the  World best Pizza places in September 2022. Established in New Zealand, Auckland since 2006 Dantes Pizzeria has 3 locations  - Ponsonby, Takapuna and Eastridge (Mission Bay).

The purpose of the position of the Pizza Chef is to organise the preparation and maintenance of excellent innovative standards of dough fermentation, hydration and toppings for preparation, baking and presentation of a continuous evolving range of Dante’s award winning pizzas.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Our expectations :
     

  • Prepare dough up to the standards of the business 
  • Shape and stretch the dough: Shape and stretch the dough by hand to the proper thickness and size, taking care not to overwork it.
  • Topping and baking: Add the desired toppings and bake the pizza in a wood-fired oven to achieve the perfect combination of crust, cheese, and toppings as per requested recipes 
  • Maintaining the oven: Ensure that the wood-fired oven is at the proper temperature and clean it regularly to maintain optimal baking conditions.
  • Inventory Management: Be responsible for ordering ingredients, checking for expired products, and keeping track of inventory.
  • Manage the food cost, and budget.
  •  Ensure that; taste, quality and presentations of pizzas meet the guidelines agreed upon.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and direct contacts with management.
  • Preparing a range of monthly specials for guests to a high standard
  • Ensure menus, food standards, procedures and processes are followed in every business location
  •  Be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen area is in line with current health regulation standards
