JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking to recruit a talented Head Chef with a vast experience in Mediterranean cuisine. The successful candidate has to have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen with fresh luxury products, have passion developing seasonal menus with weekly specials and have perfect eye for detail.


Main responsibilities include:
- Serve highest standard of food at all times
- Develop and motivate a strong team
- Ensure all team is fully trained in and compliant to the H&S policies
- Be in control of all aspects of running Day to Day kitchen operation
- Creating Food Specs and designing new menu
- Stock control minimising wastage
- Menu costing
- Labour control

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Head Chef

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of proven experience as Head Chef
  • Plan & create menus and weekly specials
  • Taking responsibility for the food production with a hands-on approach
  • Building positive relationships with staff
  • Adhering to all relevant health and safety & food safety standards
  • Identify, develop and maintain establishment policies and procedures
  • Impart knowledge, skills and training to all kitchen staff
  • Keep food & labour costs to establishment requirements
  • Join and be an active part of the management meeting
  • Level 3 Food Safety Certificate is required.
