JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Duty Manager who has had a successful track record for managing premium high-volume restaurants and who has a passion for delivering customer experiences second to none.   
 
The right candidate will have exceptional leadership and communication skills, be commercially savvy and know how to create and maintain ‘The Dream Team’.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

You will have the following qualities:

  • You have worked for a similar premium high-volume restaurant at supervisory level for at least 2 years
  • You have a current manager’s certificate or LCQ
  • You have passion for providing exceptional guest service
  • You are passionate about serving simply the best food and wine
  • You love to work within a great team environment and enjoy fast paced service
  • You get a buzz from working hard and getting great results
  • You understand how a restaurant works, are familiar with online reservations systems
  • You would like to build on a successful career in the hospitality industry
  • You are ready for some amazing opportunities working for a progressive hospitality company

 
The core of the role:

  • Achieve top line sales
  • Ensure good roster management
  • Assist in recruitment
  • Focus on staff development and training
  • Ensure the establishment is clean and tidy at all times
  • Ensure maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds
  • Ensure Health and Safety is met at all levels
  • Manage and conform with regulatory licensing requirements

Harbourside Ocean Bar Grill is located on the first level of the iconic Ferry Building on Auckland’s waterfront in the CBD. Famous for its incredible harbour views and decadent seafood-centric menu, as well as high fashion events like Melbourne Cup and Winter Ball, Harbourside is an institution that remains at the top of Auckland’s hospitality scene.
