JOB DESCRIPTION

An Italian restaurant in Collaroy on Sydneys Northern Beaches is looking for a full time FOH manager. We are a fast growing restaurant who opened just over a year ago and since then has seen consistent growth.

We are looking for an experienced manager to work alongside passionate owners and help take the business to the next level as we look to expand our operation in the near future. We are on the hunt for a passionate hospitality professional to help take control of staff recruitment, training and management, general day to day management such as ordering and handling bookings, ensuring guest satisfaction and interacting with all customers in a tight knit community alongside all other aspects of managing and helping to grow a busy restaurant.

We are happy to help you grow your career with the restaurant and keep our books and finances completely open to all staff who are interested in learning the other side of the industry, we will be glad to help you to be as involved in all other aspects of the business as you would like such as marketing and social media management, however experience is these areas is not a requirement for the job.

 

You will need:

· A minimum 2 years experience in a similar position

· Full working rights in Australia (permanent residents or citizens only)

· A passion for the industry and willingness to continue to learn and grow

· Experience working within a fast paced environment ideally with past experience in both bartending and coffee making

· A current and valid NSW RSA or a willingness to get one before commencing work

· Proven experience in managing and mentoring staff

· A basic knowledge of Italian food and wine, experience working in Italian restaurants is preferred but not essential

· Great interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with both customers and sales reps from a range of different suppliers

· Familiarity with a range of online systems both for bookings, delivery partners, POS Systems and online ordering systems

· Transport to and from Collaroy and the ability to work weekends and nights

· Competitive salary package for a restaurant of our size (approx. 70 seats at full capacity and 40 during current restrictions) based on experience (this will grow after the first few months based on performance)

· 38 – 45 hours per week to ensure you can maintain a good work life balance (as you progress you will be in charge of rostering and will be able to choose your hours in line with staff budgets)
