JOB DESCRIPTION

Commis Chef to join our brewpub kitchen team!

Our brewpub and kitchen located in West End, Brisbane serves our own range of Parched craft beers, brewed onsite, along with a great selection of delicious wines and a tasty brewpub menu. We are open Wednesday to Sunday (closed Monday and Tuesday).

We are currently looking for a motivated and passionate Commis Chef to work closely with our new Head Chef and the kitchen team in preparing our delicious, highly regarded brewpub food and ensuring that our menu is served to the highest standards.

What we are looking for

  • Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery and completed your apprenticeship
  • Experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Reliability and the ability to work well in a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a fun and positive attitude
  • Attention to detail and very organised
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Food Safety Accreditation
  • A high calibre of food skills and product knowledge
  • Support the head chef in the day-to-day control of food production ensuring that all food is of an exceptional standard
  • Ability to supervise and guide the kitchen team on service techniques and procedures
  • Supervise the kitchen close and ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen.
