He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

We are currently on the look out for casual Chefs to join our Casual Relief Pool to work at multiple sites within the Auckland Region on a if and when required basis.

Our Chefs are at the very heart of what we do.  Hundreds of thousands of people around New Zealand rely on us every day to provide their breakfasts, lunches and dinners. 

As you will be required to service sites across Auckland you will need access to reliable transport/have your own car. The rate of pay reflects the use of your own car. 

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for preparing, cooking and serving good quality food for customers, residents or clients, in conjunction with the contractual requirements of the unit You will also be assisting with general kitchen and cleaning duties.

If you're our perfect candidate, you will:

  • Be hard working, reliable, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Have excellent understanding of all hygiene, health and food safety practices in a food environment
  • Demonstrate a passion for food, people, customer service and quality.
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Preferably hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 & 168)
  • You will also need to hold a Full Drivers Licence to be able to access various sites.
  • Have the ability to work independently and confidently, but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
  • Police/MOJ clearance is required.
