JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a multi-venue hospitality group with restaurants and bars across Auckland, Wellington, and Queenstown. 

We are currently looking for talented chef de parties to come and join the passionate group of people at our Auckland venues.

About the role:
Permanent full-time position
Minimum of 40 - 45 hours per week 
Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday

As a CDP, you are responsible for supporting the Head and sous chef in a busy kitchen and delivering consistently high-quality food.
Some of your responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Taking care of daily food preparation and duties assigned by your seniors to meet the standard and the quality set by the Group
  • Coordinates daily tasks with the Sous Chef
  • Responsible for supervision of junior chefs and commis
  • Ability to estimate the daily production needs and check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure all standards are met.
  • Ensure that the production, preparation, and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times.
  • Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production, and presentation standards 
  • Operate and maintain all department equipment and reporting of any malfunctions.
  • Ensure effective communication between staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment
  • Ability to produce own work following a deadline and to assist and encourage others in achieving this aim
  • Carry out any other duties required by your seniors

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

About you:

  • Similar experience of 1 year in a busy venue of a similar style
  • Hands-on and able to operate successfully in a high-pressure environment 
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Friendly, energetic, and hard-working attitude
  • Must work well in a team
  • Organised
