JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The Company

El Sizzling Chorizo is an award winner Argentinian BBQ restaurant that uses a traditional cooking method over the wood fire hot embers. All the food served at our restaurant is cooked over this grill, called "Parrilla".

REQUIREMENTS

About You and the Job:

There are 2 available roles: Cook and Chef. 

This is a full time role with 2 scheduled days off each week. You will reporting to the Head Chef and Chefs, you will be expected to assist in all areas of the kitchen. 

As a Cook you'll be making doll, pastries, cutting meat, making bread dolls, sauces and also making salads, washing dishes, cleaning, organizing and helping the Chefs playing their role. 

Qualified chefs or with experience is an advantage. Experience isn't necessary as we train from scratch, attitude is necessary. Opportunity of career progression. Spanish is not required, but it's a plus.

We also require a qualified Chef full-time with 2 scheduled days off each week. You will be reporting to the Head Chef and General Manager, and you will be expected to assist in all areas of the kitchen, helping to lead and train other staff.

Your role will include but not be limited to:

·         Cooking on the large wood fire grill

·         Consistently produce all items related to the menu to the establishment’s standards in order to satisfy diners expectations

·         Assisting the Head Chef where required

·         Ordering and stock takes

·         Order food and non-food items.

We require a qualified Chef with at least 2 years of experience who is at home on a grill and has skills to prepare meat on a large scale.  You should be capable of leading the team in the kitchen, working well under pressure and have a high standard of food hygiene, understanding of health & safety and quality control.

The correct candidates should be willing to help build a Company that is still growing, should be enthusiastic, honest, reliable, collaborative, punctual, a team player, able to do day and night shifts, weekends, public holidays and extra hours if required.
