JOB DESCRIPTION

About our role

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our venues! 

Our venues will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as room service when required. The Chef de Partie's will assist the Head Chef in all areas of the kitchen operations including the preparation and service of menus for each dining period. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a section for the preparation and service of menus for each dining period to the highest standard
  • Cooking for high-end guests, requiring flexibility with menus and attention to guest’s special dietary needs, allergies, preferences, and requests
  • Assist the Head Chef in ensuring stock levels are maintained
  • Efficiently prepare for dining periods so that appropriate quantities are cooked
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented in accordance with the food health and safety standards of New Zealand

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

About you

You will be an experienced chef and bring enthusiasm and energy to these exciting new roles! Teamwork will be second nature to you and allow you to work collaboratively to deliver exceptional service. 

Other attributes that would contribute to your success would include:

  • Three years professional experience is preferred
  • High-end professional experience is desirable
  • Experience in making pizza is desired
  • Certificate in basic food hygiene or similar work experience
  • Experience in training and managing entry level chefs is preferred but not required
  • Confidence in managing multiple sections in a busy a la carte kitchen with emphasis on consistency and creativity
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Drivers licence and vehicle
