We are seeking a casual Cook/Chef to join the team here at Quarterdeck Kitchen & Bar, recently awarded best seafood restaurant in South East Queensland by the Restuarant & Catering Industry Association.

On weekdays, we have busy business lunches. On the weekends, a very busy breakfast trade (particularly Sunday’s) and equally busy lunches. We open for a la carte dinner on Friday & Saturday nights, plus we are also a destination for intimate events, with many Saturday nights booked for canapé cocktail parties or formal sit down, multi course dinners. Our menu is modern Australian restaurant fare, with a focus on seafood, using high quality ingredients and making everything from scratch.

The successful applicant will enjoy;
* Mostly day shifts with only 2 nights per week in a rotating roster
* Reasonable working hours and conditions
* Work in an established restaurant with job security, longevity and opportunities for professional development

The successful candidate will:
* Have a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to motivate the team around them
* Be paid the restaurant industry award wage, including weekend penalties and super (Eg, starting at $27.15/h weekdays, $32.58/h weekends)
* Be organised, punctual and reliable with time management skills and attention to detail
* Have an interest in food and hospitality
* Must be available weekends and Friday/Saturday nights
