Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Something and Social is a thriving and approachable modern Bar Restaurant. Our menus have carefully crafted tap beers, wines, cocktails, approachable fresh food with a Mediterranean twist, and a great upbeat atmosphere.

We are looking for essential management roles across our Albany and Newmarket locations to be filled. Bring your energy, personality, and a big smile, and you'll fit right in at Something and Social.

The Key Responsibilities for the roles are:

  • Manage day-to-day operations in both bar and restaurant, ensuring consistent service quality and adherence to company standards.
  • Lead, train, and inspire a diverse team of staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Analyse daily reports through our Loaded management software.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service on both bar and floor.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations across all areas.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience of managing a busy 7-day environment, with 1+ years of experience in a similar role. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage your team. Ability to think on your feet, make strategic decisions, and implement improvements. Strong understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control. Excellent verbal and written skills. A can-do attitude

Other Responsibilities: Supporting the management team in day-to-day operations, including staff management and training. Ensure the team delivers excellent customer service. A desire to cultivate and drive a team to deliver a great hospitality experience. Oversee venue cleanliness. Assisting with rostering and budget. Assisting with cost control Create and maintain a warm and welcoming environment. Supporting the Ops manager with staff training Cash management procedures. Managing inventory and stock levels

Qualifications: · Previous management experience in a modern Bar/Restaurant environment · A can-do attitude and good work ethic · Strong communication skills · Great leadership and team building · Food & Beverage knowledge. · Multitask in a busy environment. · Flexible work schedule · Current manager license
