NOMAD Group opened their first restaurant in Surry Hills, Sydney in 2013. It is now an iconic restaurant offering exceptional dining experience inspired by Spanish, Moroccan and Middle Eastern cuisine. Our first foray into the Melbourne dining scene has been well received by diners and the industry alike.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Bar Manager to join us and lead our Melbourne bar team. The right person will have a passion for utilising kitchen produce to create a minimal waste beverage offering with seasonal changes and working with a close team of like minded people. The Bar program has been a huge hit during our first year of trade in Melbourne and we are looking for a talented individual to continue the evolution. 

 Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Creating a cocktail, spirits and beer menu appropriate for a premium hatted restaurant
  • Ensuring the restaurants beverage programme is current, exciting and appealing to guests
  • Running a small bar team to deliver efficient and high quality beverage service
  • Controlling financial aspects relevant to the bar operation, such as wastage, stocktakes and COG’s
  • Working with the rest of the venues management team to ensure a seamless all round restaurant operation

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Cocktail Bartender
Bar Manager

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

ABOUT YOU

  • Recent experience as a bar manager or senior bartender in a premium hatted restaurant or high end cocktail bar
  • Exceptional knowledge and passion for cocktails, Australian spirits and local craft beers
  • A passion for working with small producers and boutique products
  • Motivation to work in a restaurant setting and engage in various aspects of the restaurants operations
  • Experience in programming POS systems, purchasing and stock control
  • The Ability to work as part of a large management team in a dynamic venue 
  • Full working rights in Australia
