JOB DESCRIPTION

St. Johns Bar & Eatery, located in the heart of Wellington, seeks a new Assistant Venue Manager to lead the team.

Leading and mentoring this passionate team, the role will see you be the face of the venue in this multifaceted establishment. Experience in high-volume food and beverage establishments, functions, and events is preferred. This venue is a big player in the Wellington scene and requires a Hospitality Professional who can think on their feet and handle many tasks simultaneously.

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum two years of Management experience in a similarly large, fast-paced environment
  • Financial acumen fitting of an experienced Manager
  • Strong experience in rostering & wage costing
  • Experienced in exceeding sales targets and managing profit
  • Local area marketing and social media expertise
  • Exceptional food & Beverage knowledge
  • Exceptional time management & organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Solutions-focused and strong leadership
  • Current Managers certification & LCQ
