JOB DESCRIPTION

Clevedon Hallertau Brewery & Biergarten is a popular destination known for its great food, craft beers, and warm atmosphere. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic Front of House team. As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring excellent service and a memorable experience for all our guests. Additionally, you will assist the Restaurant and Operations Manager in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and the successful planning and execution of events.

Responsibilities:

Providing Excellent Service: Ensure the delivery of top-notch customer service to all patrons, exceeding their expectations and creating a welcoming atmosphere for families, Aucklanders, out-of-towners, and beer enthusiasts.

Event Planning and Organization: Oversee and coordinate the planning and execution of weddings and other functions hosted at the venue, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Staff Training: Conduct training sessions for the front-of-house team, ensuring that all staff members are well-versed in service standards, menu knowledge, and overall restaurant operations.

Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant and the event venue, ensuring a pleasant and safe environment for guests and staff.

Supporting Management: Collaborate with the Restaurant and Operations Manager to optimize restaurant performance, address challenges, and implement improvements as needed.

Requirements:

Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.

General Manager Certificate: Possession of a current valid General Manager Certificate is essential to comply with local regulations and licensing requirements.

Ability to Thrive Under Pressure: Demonstrated ability to remain composed and effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Passion for Hospitality: A genuine enthusiasm for providing exceptional service and a love for the food and beverage industry.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage events and day-to-day operations efficiently.

Leadership Skills: Display leadership qualities to motivate and guide the front-of-house team.

Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and management.

  • 1-2 Years experience in a similar role.
  • Current valid General manager Certificate.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure
  • A valid permanant work visa for New Zealand 
  • A valid full NZ drivers license 
  • The ability to work weekends and evenings
