JOB DESCRIPTION

As assistant manager you will have sound people and restaurant operational skills.  A team builder, working with integrity and professional customer centric attitude.

  • Responsible in managing the quality of service and products.
  • Ensuring standards are set in conjunction with The Alex Manager for product and service quality, ensuring output is monitored and guest satisfaction levels are maintained.
  • Supporting a culture of continuous improvement in product knowledge, quality, customer service and communincations.
  • Ensuring the Alex personnel are appropriately attired and well presented at all times.
  • All equipment and plant is appropriately maintained and presented at all times.
  • Ensuring the needs and requirements of The Alex clientele are greeted and served in a friendly and professional manner at all times.
  • Build team cohesion, ensuring staff understand H&S standards, policies and protocols

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Assistant Manager

REQUIREMENTS

Financial

  • Understanding and experience in cash handling, reconciliation and cash management.

Personnel

  • An ability to impart knowledge and train staff.  
  • Recruitment experience - advantagous
  • Roster preperation experience  

Compliance

  • An understanding of H&S requirements in Hospitality environment
  • Holder of Managers Certificate and LCQ
