With a complete refurbishment of all 370 rooms, suites and apartments, nine events spaces, terrace overlooking Her Majesty's Theatre, interactive fitness centre and rooftop pool. The new Rydges Melbourne will offer unforgettable hospitality. 

Rydges Melbourne will unveil a new restaurant and bar, that will hero local seasonal produce and excite the senses. Reporting into the Director of Food & Beverage and working alongside our award winning Executive Head Chef, we are after a hands-on Restaurant, Bar & In-Room Dining Assistant Manager standout who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our new restaurant and bar and In-Room Dining... Is your mind racing yet?

Key Roles:

• Overall accountability for the people, product, service, and upkeep in day to day operations 
• Assist the Outlets Manager + F&B director with staff recruitment, training and rostering of Front of House staff in order to ensure service excellence.
• Manage the effectiveness & overall operations of internal systems and point of sale operations including general IT, Infrasys and the bookings system.
• Continually analyse and assess performance of the restaurant (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) against its stated objectives; formulate strategies and enact remedies as appropriate.

What we are looking for:

• Previous proven managerial experience, preferable in a similar hotel restaurant environment 
• Hands on experience with training, coaching, motivating and developing a large team
• Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation
• Organisational and time management skills
• Adaptable and able to perform in high-pressured service periods
