Get ready, foodies! Restaurant Month 2024 is back in August and it’s bigger and better than ever! This year’s lineup features over 25 delectable events that will tantalise your taste buds and give you a chance to meet some of the top culinary talents up close. Whether you’re into sushi, fondue, or a good old-fashioned walking food tour, there’s something for everyone.

 

Here are three special menus you absolutely can’t miss during this foodie extravaganza:


1. White + Wong’s 

White + Wong’s is where East meets West in the most delicious way possible. Imagine classic street foods from China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand, all brought together in one eclectic menu. With bold Asian flavours, stunning harbour views, and modern decor, White + Wong’s is the place to be for a culinary adventure.

$55 Three Course Five Dish Sharing Style Lunch or Dinner Starter:

  • Prawn crackers & chilli salt

Entrée:

  • Sashimi of kingfish, heirloom tomatoes, chilli, lime, coconut cream & coriander
  • Wagyu beef shumai (2pcs) served with red vinegar, soy & chilli oil
  • Salt & pepper squid, five spice, chilli salsa tamarind, caramel, bean sprouts, mint, & coriander

Step into Botswana Butchery and experience the best of Auckland and Central Otago. Located in the historic Ferry Building, this restaurant is known for its premium produce, local ingredients, and a philosophy of 'fun dining'. The plush and distinctive atmosphere makes every meal an event to remember.

$65 Two Course Dinner Entrée:

  • Petite fillet of beef with crispy pork skin, prosciutto, wilted spinach & rosemary jus
  • Big Glory Bay salmon tostada with cucumber, pickle, radish, sour cream, salmon caviar & fresh herbs

Main:

  • Coastal lamb rump served medium with garlic purée, potato gratin, cashew nuts & rosemary jus
  • Roasted gem fish steak with brown butter sauce, baby capers, toasted pumpkin seeds & preserved lemon
