NZ Bartenders: Win a Trip to Sydney & $3K in the Four Pillars Australian Gin Open 2025

Are you a talented bartender in New Zealand with a passion for gin? Then get ready for an incredible opportunity brought to you by Four Pillars Gin! They're searching for the best cocktail creator to represent NZ in the Australian Gin Open, with a trip to Sydney and $3000 (AUD) up for grabs. And as a Lion NZ partner, Barcats is excited to help spread the word!

The Challenge:

Create an original cocktail using one of these delicious Four Pillars Gins:

  • Rare Dry Gin
  • Bloody Shiraz Gin
  • Fresh Yuzu Gin

How to Enter:

Entering is simple and social:

  • Craft your cocktail: Get creative and develop a unique and delicious cocktail using the Four Pillars Gin.
  • Snap a photo: Take a stunning photo of your creation.
  • Post on Instagram: Share the photo on your public Instagram feed between January 7th and 31st, 2025.
  • Include the following in your caption:
    • The complete cocktail recipe
    • Tag @fourpillarsgin
    • Tag your venue's Instagram handle (or mention it in the caption if your venue doesn't have one)
    • Use the hashtag #AussieGinOpen

Entries will be judged on the recipe, presentation, and overall creativity of the cocktail.

The Competition Timeline:

Entry Period: January 7th - 31st, 2025
NZ Country Final (Auckland): February 19th, 2025 – Five finalists will compete live, making their cocktails for a panel of judges. The winner will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Sydney!
Grand Final (Sydney): March 20th, 2025 – The winners from each participating market will compete for the ultimate prize: $3000 (AUD)!
