The Latest Updates For Venues
Mar 20, 2020
Bars, restaurants and other hospitality venues must now ensure no more than 100 people are in there at anytime, after a Government announcement on Thursday meant that it was not only public gatherings or events with over 500 people at risk. The Government are also advising physical distancing in these venues, which means keeping patrons at least 1 metre away from other people.
Venues across the country are working out ways to stay open with these clauses in place, many opting to have a counter on the door and once the venue has reached a total of 100 people inside, including staff, the venue will begin operating a one-in-one-out policy.
We are currently working alongside the Government to help advise them on how this will apply to the hospitality sector across New Zealand so please, have your say now!

In other news, the minimum wage also goes up to $18.90 on April 1st 2020 so make sure you are prepared for that within your hospitality venue.
